Dear Mr. Gamini:
This letter is to document a conversation between James and I in the field today. At
approximately 1:30pm I asked James to shut down all work activity until we have a chance
to meet to discuss the project. I have set up a meeting for Monday morning May 24 at
10:00am. Please bring James and any other field supervisors you may be using on the
project.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss contract requirements for protection of
underground utilities, and the importance of locates. As you know Roadway Solutions
damaged a water line while working on the referenced project this morning. We will also
discuss the City's expectation when city owned property is damaged.
Pending the outcome of the meeting you should be able to resume work by noon on
Monday. If you wish to discuss this between now and Monday, please feel free to call me.
