Dear Ms. Lenker:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1.The proposed installation takes place in Dallas County, zip code 75019.
2.There is a discrepancy in General Construction Note 5 regarding the minimum vertical
clearance between existing utilities and the proposed installation. The minimum vertical
separation should be twenty-four inches (24”).
3.Please modify Typical Underground Construction Details A and B, which reference field
direction provided by the City Inspector. Compaction should be to 95% Standard Proctor
Density.
4.Please modify the Typical Traffic Control Plan. The length of lane closure should not be
determined by the City Engineer but by TxMUTCD, unless otherwise directed by TxDOT.
Additionally, Please note that there shall be no closures of any lanes on Denton Tap Rd.
