FTTP-CS041112 VERIZON PROJECT CONTACT INFO Your or someone in your department may get calls and emails regarding a Verizon project recently begun in the northern sector of the city. According to information given out to residents in the affected areas, Verizon is upgrading their system in Coppell to state-of-the-art fiber optic technology. Contractors working under the direction of Housley Communications are being used to accomplish this task and the entire city will be “re-wired” in stages during this upgrade project. The subcontractors being used are: Precision Utilities HJB Al-Comm Southwest Construction This project was reviewed and permitted by the Engineering Dept. There are specific rules in place to guide the contractors in their activities. Door- hangers and letters are to be provided to residents prior to work starting. If you get calls about the project, please give out the contact names and numbers listed below. This will hopefully prevent callers from being transferred excessively through our system, but also gets them to the person(s) responsible on the ground for any construction activity at issue. Use your best customer service judgement about whether the person actually needs to be transferred to Engineering, or if their need can be fulfilled with the contact info below. Of course the Engineering Dept. is prepared to answer their questions at any time, but we especially want to deal with the calls relating to ”quality of construction” complaints. This will be a lengthy project and we anticipate many calls. Don’t hesitate to forward any emails concerning this project to Engineering, Keith Marvin, or Rhonda Brothers.
