Request for Variance to 5-Foot Minimum Separation from City Utilities
RE:
Dear Mr. Bowles:
The City of Coppell Engineering Department will allow a minimum separation of three
feet from sanitary sewer lines, however we will not grant a variance from the five foot
minimum separation of your installations from City water lines. Additionally, if we feel
your contractors have deviated from the three foot separation, we may require the
contractor (at his own expense) to televise that portion of the sewer line to inspect for
damage.
Be advised that if City crews need to make emergency repairs to our facilities in the future,
this deviation in separation may result in damage to Verizon facilities during any such
repairs.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the matter further, please contact me at your
convenience.
Sincerely,
Keith R. Marvin, P.E.
