You came by our offices earlier today to pick up the revised construction plan sheets associated with these changes. These change orders are initiated by the City of Coppell and cover the following additional work: Changer Order Number 2: Covers the extra work required to furnish and install approximately 48 linear feet of 24-inch water line and make the necessary connections to the existing distribution system including all closures, fittings and appurtenances, complete in place. The attached revised construction plan sheet number 11 shows the extra work covered by this change order. Change Order Number 3: At the request of the City of Coppell, the alignment of the 24-inch water line from Station 2+15.30 (Start) to Station 45+49.73 (State Road) is to be revised as shown on revised construction plan sheets 1A through 5. The revised sheets are marked with "Change Order Number 3" along the lower border and are hereby made a part of this change order by reference. As a result of the re-alignment, the project quantities are revised as shown in Section C the change order. At this stage, we have prepared the preliminary copy of Change Order Number 3 utilizing the established contract unit prices. For that reason, we separated the extra work into two separate change orders. However, we request that your proposal for both change orders be submitted for our consideration no later than Tuesday, May 25th. INTENT OF CHANGE ORDER The intent of this change order is to modify the provisions of the contract entered into between the City of Coppell, Texas and Fox Contractors, Inc., P.O. Box 951, Midlothian, Texas 76065, for construction of the Sandy Lake Road Water Line - Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank to Denton Tap Road, dated December 8, 1998. B. DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE The original plans for this project called for the water line to terminate at Station 117+86.74 with a 24-inch dished head plug on the east side of Denton Tap Road. The City of Coppell has requested that the contractor make the connection to the 24-inch water line in this same vicinity currently under construction by others. This change order covers the extra work required to furnish and install approximately 48 linear feet of 24- inch water line and make the necessary connections to the existing distribution system including all closures, fittings and appurtenances, complete in place. The attached revised construction plan sheet number 11 shows the extra work covered by this change order. C.
