Does it need correction immediately or can it wait till first thing Monday. Most personnel have left for the

Per,
The signs look good. The one Just south of Town Center can be moved in front of the bank for visibility
issues.
The one on West Sandy Lake needs to be moved to the west intersection of N Coppell Road and not at
the South Coppell Intersection.
Thank You, George

We should have the signs finished tomorrow. We will give those locations a good evaluation. Per

Per,
On the North, can we fit it just south of the Town Center Intersection? Within the southbound ROW?
ON the South can we place it on the southern section of the Braewood Shopping Center. There is no
sidewalk and quite a bit of ROW and plenty of distance between driveway and intersection.
Can we get these up tomorrow?
Thank You, George

FYI - Update
The plywood is in our sign shop and the signs are being constructed.
As if you need more questions - We plan to install them on barricade legs and place them at the locations
previously mentioned.
1500 feet to the north puts the sign in the vicinity of the Wayfinding sign by the Sonic. There is sidewalk
on the roadside. Can we use the median?
1500 feet to the south puts it in front of the Coppell Professional Plaza. There is sidewalk there but it is
not connected to anything else. Can we use the median? There is a TXU Gas easement just a little farther
south (1600'+). Farther from the project may disconnect the meaning.
We would have to check for visibility obstructions at both locations and the median would have the least
impact on visibility. if we are installing them at the beginning of the work zone, we will also need to be wary
of obscuring required construction zone signs.
The Sandy Lake locations are a more clear - at the detour where it can be seen and not block
construction signs.
Weights (sand bags) will be placed to stabilize at all locations.
I'm sure there are more details/questions but it will require a site visit after the construction signs are set
up. Per

Just talked with Per. I did not specify to the contractor what size the sign would need to be. He priced it as
a 24x36 and the sign material would be corrugated plastic and not reflective. Per was going to use
aluminum and reflective. He does not have any plywood right now at 4x8 but he can get it. It will need to
be a marine grade and Per anticipates it to be aprox. $100/sheet.
If you are ok with the phrasing, I will have our guys put it together at 4x8.
Thank You, George

Not sure 2x3 is big enough. We usually do 4x8.

Ken,
Attached is an image for the two types of signs. Not sure if you can see the image.
They will be 24x36, blue with white lettering, 4" high letters.
The first will read:
"BUSINESSES
REMAIN OPEN"
Mounted on Denton Tap near the beginning of the work zones.
The second:
"BUSINESSES
REMAIN OPEN
ACCESS
PROVIDED"
Mounted at Hertz & Sandy Lake and the other at N. Coppell Rd & Sandy Lake. Both are where the road
closed, local traffic only signs are placed.
Talking with Per, they will make them reflective.
If it is ok with you I will have our sign shop make these.
Thank You, George

Our sign program isn't very friendly but I managed to export it in a file you could read. If you can't see it
well enough you may need to stop by the sign shop. Let me know if the sign designs need any changes.
Blue would be the color used for lettering and border. We have aluminum and film.
