Clay -
I just finished talking with Lee Haskins at Martinizing. He said you guys had talked and he had given you
an ear full about Sandy Lake/Denton Tap brick paver replacement. He told me about all the complaints he
has gotten from customers who "had no idea" about the project. Also expressed disgust with the police for
giving tickets to the folks cutting through the retail centers at the intersection.
So, I wanted to throw in my "two bits" worth and tell you, "Bully for you." I am thrilled you are doing the
work. I was amply notified well in advance from a number of sources. And I fully support the police writing
tickets for each and every person that is in too big a hurry to obey the law and follow the appropriate
detours currently in place.
So you know, although Lee is a friend and I feel he often has valid issues that bother him at that center, I
told him today that any of his customers that said they weren't aware the work was coming need to wake
up and look around. Plenty of notice. I just don't think Lee has any grounds to gripe at you.
Anyway, I thought you should know. I am behind the city on this one all the way.
Talk soon.
