Sharon,
Yes we will need to bid it out, however we can not bid until we have all easements signed and recorded.
We probably won't be able to start until late July at the earliest.
Thank You, George

You are a wealth of info! Thank you very much. This is great. I'm guessing that once the design work is
done then you'll still have to bid it before starting or can you use an existing company? Looking for a
projected start date.
Thanks, George!

Sharon,
I am heading up the Denton Tap Sidewalk Project.
The project consists of filling in all the gaps in sidewalk along Denton Tap with sidewalk. Due to the
limited Right of way of Denton Tap we have had to acquire approximately 13 sidewalk easements. There
are over 25 parcels that will have sidewalk added. We will be installing over 3,300 square yards of
sidewalk. At each driveway tie in, we have had to verify existing slopes. If the driveway cross slopes do
not meet current ADA/TAS requirements we need to remove and re-grade/replace the driveway to meet
the standards. The project starts at the intersection of Denton Tap & Southwestern and heads north all
the way to SH 121. The goal is to finish the design plans this month. As mentioned above, the hurdles
have been the easements along with the ADA/TAS requirements.
If you need anything further, please let me know.
Thank You, George

Hi Ken,
I'm writing a few snippets for the Mayor's State of the City speech and want to write more about the
Denton Tap sidewalks as represented in the Council Goal Workplan. Can you brief me or do you have
something written I can borrow?
Thanks!
Sharon
