If you could print it, I'll come by city hall on Monday and pick it up. Thanks, Gregory K. I have been trying to work on a few other projects but now I am back on the sidewalk. We had discussed the drainage issues along the north portion along the back of the existing inlet. I mentioned that we would have our contractor re-grade the area between the sidewalk & flower bed including a portion of the flower bed because it seemed a little low. We will not cause drainage problem for your site. As it is, we will need to reset the water meters which will require more grading in that area than if there were no meters. The easement document includes basic language that requires the City to restore the land back to original condition. "GRANTEE shall, except for removed obstructions, return the surface area of the Easement to its original condition as nearly as practical taking into consideration the nature of the work being performed" If you need anything further please let me know. As shown, the walk is immediately adjacent to the new planter. What is the anticipated final elevation of the walk? If it is supposed to match the curb elevation, I think we may still have a problem. Thanks, Gregory K. We have relocated the sidewalk further towards the curb to accommodate all aspects. I have also attached a revised easement document that will better reflect your concerns. Let me know your thoughts on this. Sincerely, DiWanna >>> "Greg Yancey" <gregyancey@verizon.net> 7/24/2009 12:39 PM >>> Hi DiWanna: I took your latest plan to the site today and I can't get the same answer as the drawing shows. The attached photos show where 10'6" actually lands back of curb. As you can see, the walk lands against the landscaping we just installed. The existing church walk at 590 is only 9'8" back of curb. I understand why the City wants to move pedestrians safely away from traffic and appreciate the offer to install the walk. We just need to get a better understanding of how this can be achieved without a drastic grade change at the edge of our new planters or a drainage problem. (7/1/2010) George Marshall - RE: FW: Denton Tap Sidewalk ProjectPage 4 I understand TDLR cross slope issues that create challenges for the designer and contractor, so I'm unclear as to how this is going to work with the planter. We just finished the planter renovation three months ago. Could you please take another look at this for us? Thanks, Gregory K. The first drawing is the drawing that we send to the contractor. The second drawing shows a closer view of the placement of the sidewalk, shown hatched. The sidewalk will look exactly like the sidewalk that is adjacent to this property.
