Hi George. I've received comments back from Mr. Dan Guido and Mr. Dan Carrizales. Their comments were (1)
Pedestrian sidewalks should be protected with pedestrian gates, whether pedestrian sidewalks are within the
roadway gates, or pedestrian gates are provided behind the mast and (2) Flashing lights should be LED
equipped.

Good afternoon men. This morning I met with the City of Coppell's Civil Engineer, Mr. George Marshall,
P.E.. The City has submitted proposed plans for sidewalk improvements on the Cotton Belt Line, near Denton
Tap Road.
Guido,
As I was researching my notes, I noticed that I've already received some of your comments a few months back
pertaining to pedestrian gates. During that time, Graduate Engineer, Ms. Diwanna Baskins was the contacting
person on behalf of the City. Please submit any additional requirement that FWWR may have. If not I will notify
Mr. Marshall with the comments that I received in your 8/31/09 e-mail (attached).
Dan,
Please forward me any comments that you may have. Particularly regarding the signal boxes, wiring and wiring
compatibility. The City said that they may look at the possibilities of re-constructing the Denton Tap grade
crossing at a later date. I will forward you all a pdf copy of the drawings as soon as I receive them from Mr.
Marshall.

Hi George. It was a pleasure to meet with you this morning to discuss the City of Coppell's sidewalk
improvement project. It appears that the City does have an existing agreement (attached) from the predecessing
railroad. I will include you on my e-mail that I will be sending to Fort Worth & Western Railroad's, Assistant
Engineer, Mr. Daniel "Guido" Guido, and DART's Chief Engineer, Mr. Daniel Carrizales, regarding the pedestrian
gates and any other requirements
Please be sure to complete the application and checklist that I exchanged with you this morning. Upon
receiving both forms and the $2,500 "Engineering Review and Application Fee", I will begin the process. The
review process takes approximately 4-5 weeks to complete, from the time that I receive the information.
Pending your approval, I will prepare the license for the new improvements.
