The Manara Academy has been operating under an SUP with a maximum of 326
students since August, 2009, with actual enrollment of about 250 students. No
significant or persistent operational difficulties have been noted with onsite vehicle
circulation, bus operations, or external traffic conditions.
Manara Academy is now requesting an SUP to cover the 2010 -2014 school years with
a maximum enrollment of 500 students in grades K -8. The traffic impact analysis
(TIA) and traffic management plan (TMP) dated May 12, 2009 that was prepared for
the 2009 -2010 SUP included a scenario with a 500- student K -8 school. The TIA
showed that the 500- student scenario can be accommodated on the external roadways
without significant negative impact, and that the TMP would accommodate the
necessary internal circulation.
Considering the TIA results and experience from the successful operation of the
existing school, there is no reason to believe that the 500- student school will result in
significant negative impacts to either the internal or external traffic conditions.
