Tony talked to the bridge contractor yesterday afternoon. Below is a recap of that conversation. I'm not
sure quite how to respond to RFI 009. I'll note the corrected STA for DS1-1, but that is really the only
difference to our plans. The rest of the RFI appears to be a field measurement issue that has apparently
been remedied?

I called Steve Goodman, NTBridge Contractor, to talk about the location of the drilled shafts. I left him a
message and he just called me back. He said it was ok because he had just been at the bridge site,
walked over and kicked the nail that was marking the location of one of the drilled shafts in question. His
point was that the "marker" was a puny nail and it could have shifted it somewhat. He said they didn't use
coordinates, just taped from the bents to the abutments. We have spent all this time this morning and
afternoon trying to justify our numbers and they are not even using the proper procedures to lay out the
drilled shafts. We did find one bust in the station for DS1-1.
