roadway on Bethel Road, installa-
tion of improved drainage, new con-
crete paving with curbs and gutters,
construction of a new bridge over
Grapevine Creek, and a continuous
sidewalk along the south side of the
road.
The project will greatly improve
the intersection of Denton Tap and
Bethel Road, according to Keith
Marvin, project engineer for the City
of Coppell.
Both left and right turn lanes will
be added to the eastbound leg of
Bethel Road, and the westbound
lane will be widened.
The contractor is required to
maintain access to adjacent proper-
ties during all phases of construc-
tion activity.
Appropriate signage and barri-
cades were erected prior to the
projects beginning, allowing motor-
ists to plan routes around the con-
struction area.
The City Council awarded the
construction contract to JRJ Pav-
ing, LP, in the amount of
$1,969,019.05.
