I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you and others are experiencing driving east Sandy Lake. The contractor
is continuing to work on the wall on the north side of Sandy Lake at the culverts. The wall is below the level
of the road so the workers are not typically visible to passing motorists. That wall will hold up the remaining
paving on the road. Once the wall is complete, the remaining paving on the north side can be completed and
then traffic switched.
The following is the latest timeline obtained from the contractor on 2/14/06:
1) Contractor should complete the wall by 2/20/06;
2) Contractor should complete the left out paving by 3/306:
3) Contractor should switch traffic to new paving during spring break (3/13 - 3/17).
Once traffic is switched, the contractor will fill the south side of the road and pave it. The contractor
anticipates completing the project late summer 2006.

According to city website on construction some parts of this road should be done by now. I must drive this
road at least 2 times a week or more and I NEVER see anyone working on the 1 mile stretch east of
MacArthur.
Is this 1 mile road replacement still on the schedule list on the city's website.
