As requested, a representative of Alliance Geotechnical Group, went to the project site to observe Pier Drilling
operations at two piers along the bottom of the creek. Requirement piers were drilled a minimum of ten (10) feet below
the bottom of the creek, per City of Coppell.
Casing was required to seal off the piers from groundwater at the surface of the creek bottom. Due to the length of the
casing, both piers were drilled approximately fifteen (15) to seventeen (17) feet below the bottom of the creek. Gray
shale was encountered very near the bottom of the creek. No plans were provided or available at the time of the pier
inspection.
