I know you are frustrated. We are too.
We have worked with Floyd on other signs, and those signs were just as difficult to get done as these. That's why we do
not indicate that this is a preferred vendor.
Once our engineering technician was able to speak directly to the technician laying out the sign for Southern Manufacturing
it was only about 2 weeks before the layout was completed.
City staff spent many hours working to ensure this sign was correct before it was manufactured. Had we not done that,
this would drag on much longer than it has.
We look forward to a successful conclusion to this project as much as you do.

We met with the City on October 3- it has taken over 4 months to get to the point that the City likes the layout and can get
the file to work w/ the manufacturer - it's not like this is the first time you have worked w/ Floyd.
Prior to that meeting I specifically asked you if the City had a preferred manufacturer and you indicated that they did not.
Duke is fine with being the guinea pig for the new City sign layout, but we have all worked diligently to finish this project
and I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the delay associated with this process.

The logo has not changed on this sign. The inability of your sign manufacturer to get the logo correct has been the hold
up.

Floyd Hobbs said that the ILNS will be going into fabrication the middle
of next week and should be ready to ship two weeks after that. He will
have a definite ship date on Tuesday (2/19).
