As you are aware, we have completed repair of the gabion wall at the above referenced location which
included the removal and reconstruction of an approximate 84.0 ft. section of displaced wall and the
installation of eight remedial ground anchors and a reinforced concrete waler. Additionally, five
remedial tiebacks were installed in the upper gabion row beyond the displaced section of wall as a
preventative measure against reoccurrence of the slide at this area. The remedial measures were
installed in accordance with the wall remediation drawings dated 06- 14 -10. The date of completion of
the repair was 06- 24 -10.
Per our previous discussions, the City has agreed to cover the cost of the additional elements installed
beyond the scope of the originally constructed wall (i.e., the tiebacks and concrete beam). In return,
COINC will extend the original 2 -year maintenance agreement from the date of completion of the repair,
or to 06- 24 -12. he direct material cost for the remedial tiebacks and concrete beam was $5,200.00. An
invoice for the mat -Tials has already been submitted separately.
