Caleb,
The retaining wall on the north side will need to be modified to eliminate the form liner, and add a brick ledge as necessary
for the homeowners to face the wall with rock. Can you please contact the architect listed below to coordinate that
change.
We also need to ensure we coordinate the driveway grades before it's too late. There are already form boards over the box
culvert. I am attaching some shots we took yesterday.
Thanks,
Keith

Keith,
I will be out of town beginning tomorrow morning through July 12, but I can
be reached by cell phone anytime (my cell number is listed below). I am
leaving my landscape architect, Harold Leidner and his staff with the task
of working with you and the City related to our driveway approach and the
retaining wall issues while I am away. But, please feel free to call me at
anytime. Harold's office number is (972) 418-5244.
The one thing I can tell you regarding the retaining wall is that we will
definitely want to put a stone veneer on the North side of the wall facing
our house. So that we can do this, all that the contractor will need to do
is to form a brick ledge at grade level running the full length of the North
side of the wall at least as far as my property line to the West. This will
give us a base to lay the stone. Regarding the guard rail on top of the
wall, unless Harold comes up with another idea that would be acceptable to
the City, my initial thought is that I don't necessarily have an issue with
the decorative cast concrete rail as you have designed and planned. I do
however happen to like the bridge railing design you used on Southwestern
over Grapevine Creek better than the Denton Tap bridge railing (for what its
worth).
Anyway, that's it for now. Let's keep in contact on these issues and I'm
sure everything will work out smoothly. Thanks.
