There are a few things I would like you to look at while we discuss it internally: 1. Both options should have been for a 12" aerial crossing. This was our mistake, but I want to have you guys re check your overall pricing before we decide which option to go with. 2. There are a few items that are already included in the contract with unit prices established, such as 18" drilled shafts, cubic yard pricing for structural concrete, 12" diameter PVC sewer pipe, and the 5' diameter manhole. In all of these cases the proposed pricing is higher than the established unit pricing, in some cases as much as 3 times higher. As you probably know we will expect to pay contract unit prices for items that duplicate work already in the contract.
