Keith,
On the site we have encountered cement treated base under the asphalt on this site. Though we have discussed
working to only excavate portions of this material, we are still having to excavate and haul off the additional
material from the site. From the bores on the site, there was nothing we could find that would have given an
indication this was there and with the material being so hard, cannot be milled and reprocessed. We would like to
ask that for this additional excavation, haul off, and import of the additional material, JRJ Paving be compensated
for these additional quantities. We would like to see if we can work within the line items we currently have and
are open for discussion to any ideas you have regarding these additions.
