Keith,
This afternoon there was meetings held on site with Caleb Thornhill, Larry Davis, Lance Proctor the Chateau
Developer, Terry Wade JRJ Survey, and myself regarding the grades from Chateau to Denton Tap. There ia
approximately 18” from top of curb to existing. JRJ has excavated to subgrade and was ready to lime tomorrow
on both sides of the existing roadway from the intersection of Denton Tap to Chateau. Due to the grades per plan
being so drastic in this area and Freese & Nichols needing time to look at shots Caleb requested and given to him
today at the locations he requested, JRJ was instructed to cancel lime and were shut down from working in this
area. By being shut down in this area, this drastically impacts the time on this job due to if we could have limed
tomorrow, we could have remixed on Monday with the potential of pouring out limed area from Denton Tap to
Chateau on Wednesday next week.
Just not being able to lime tomorrow has already cost JRJ and the job 3 days. I know that Caleb will be working
diligently on getting this resolved, but will also need time to recalculate new information once received so that we
can determine what needs to be performed. Note, all franchise utilities have been moved to the location under
the sidewalk that is approximately 18” too high. If it is determined to lower sidewalk, to make existing grades
work, the potential of franchise utility conflict is high.
Cordially,
Dean Dumke
