ST0301A-CS100723 Page 1 of 1 Keith Marvin - Bethel Rd - 8" Siphon line From:   "Dean Dumke" <deand@JRJPaving.com> To:"Keith Marvin" <KMARVIN@coppelltx.gov>, "Butch Cross" <butchc@JRJPaving.com>,     "Marty Murphy" <Martym@JRJPaving.com> Date:   7/23/2010 9:38 AM Subject:   Bethel Rd - 8" Siphon line CC:"Scott Latta" <slatta@coppelltx.gov>, "Zach Fusilier" <zfusilier@ntexcon.com>,     <mbradford@ntexcon.com>, "Andy Nord" <andy@ntexcon.com>   Keith & Scott,   I have met with Ted on site along with Larry Davis regarding drilling thought the 8” siphon.  It has been determined that we are to not drill through the 8” line coming from siphon, but move the drill shaft to the north to avoid both the 6” and 8” lines coming from siphon box.  By doing this, this will add additional footage to the 12” pipe so that connections on both ends can be made.  Ted spoke with Glenn and Glenn agreed this needed to happen this way.  Ted is having Public Works shut off the 8” valve from 8am-2:30pm so that it will allow us to drill and pour the 2 drill shafts.  After 2:30pm valve will be reopened.   Thank you,   Dean Dumke Sr Project Manager #469-223-7879 JRJ PAVING, L. The plans call for the contractor to drill through the existing 8" line on the siphon. Ted and the contractor were both afraid that they might take out the 6" siphon line as well. They have made the decision to shift the new piers for the new aerial crossing 2.5' to the north. This way, they should miss both of the existing siphon lines.
