Dean,
I've never seen this submittal. I do not have any record of an email from you nor Kim Entrekin from
6/30/10. You are the only two people from JRJ Paving I have received past submittals from other than Mr.
Murphy at our initial Traffic Control meeting for this project. Did you or Kim send it via email? Should it
have come from someone else?
This is the second or third time you have inquired about a submittal that, to my knowledge, had never
been sent to myself nor the city. Please coordinate future submittals with your staff to ensure they are
promptly sent to either the city or myself in order to prevent future delayed responses.
will process this submittal and provide feedback as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Keith,
See below emails in regards to the bridge panel submittals. From the looks of what was mentioned below, if we
get the approved deck panels approved by Monday, 080210. If everything works out perfectly with cure time and
all, the new open date for the bridge will have to be October 4, 2010, earliest date.
The company manufacturing the deck panels, if deck panels received approved on Monday, 080210, will then
place order and at this time the soon as this order could be manufactured is August 23, 2010. They cannot move
their pour any sooner due to previous other commitments to jobs that already have their submittals approved at
this time to be manufactured.
know that we spoke today and your stance is that no additional time will be granted to meet the full bonus, but as
suggested due to plan revisions and submittal confusion, I feel that JRJ should not have to absorb the full
deductions set forth in the bonus agreement. As we also discussed, this will be relooked at the closer we get to
the September 7th date, but from email received below, the bridge date is not achievable any more.
Thank you,
Dean Dumke

With fabrication the week of August 23, we will not be able to set until Sept 3 (7 day cure required for Delivery)
deck pour will be delayed to Sept 15 -16
14 Day Cure with good breaks the engineer may allow traffic Friday Oct 1 (More likely the following Monday Oct 4)
Looks like our open date has been pushed to Oct 4 provided the engineer allow traffic in 14 Days?
This is if we get the approved drawings back by Monday August 2 2010

Quality Assurance Certification: Flexicore of Texas has been in continuous production of TxDOT precast and
prestressed concrete products since 1986. We have a TxDOT certified manufacturing plant and maintain TxDOT
approved in -house concrete testing laboratory facilities. Our Quality Assurance Department is staffed by PCI and ACI
trained and certified quality assurance personnel. They continuously test all raw materials used, monitor the
manufacturing as well as maintaining and certifying that all the products we manufacture and approve meet and exceed
the project requirements. Typically, we do concrete test breaks for the next day "release of strand" and 7-day concrete
test breaks" for the 28 -day design breaks. Be assured, we will not ship any concrete products to the job site until all the
project specifications and requirements have been met and the concrete design strength has been reached.
