To whom it may concern:
It should be known that Nortex Foundation Designs, Inc. will design the foundations for the
proposed development. Due to grades steeper than the recommended three horizontal to
one vertical, we recommend that piers be included in the design to provide adequate
support soil erosion cause a slope shear failure. These piers will be designed for not only
axial loads due to foundation dead and live loads, but also lateral Toads from soil movement.
