As discussed, remedial tiebacks (including reinforced concrete beam) are being added to the failed portion of gabion wall in addition to complete removal and reconstruction of the wall within these limits. Additionally, remedial tiebacks are being installed in the upper gabion row beyond as a preventative measure against reoccurrence of the slide at this area. We anticipate being done, or at least substantially complete with the work by the end of this week. We highly value our relationship with the City of Coppell and have made every effort to rectify this situation, including covering all labor, equipment and material costs for reconstructing the gabion wall. However, Craig Olden, Inc. would be receptive to any cost sharing the City may deem appropriate to help cover the cost of the additional elements installed beyond the scope of the originally constructed wall (i.e., the tiebacks and concrete beam). The direct material cost for the remedial tiebacks and concrete beam was approximately $5,200.00. We appreciate your consideration of this matter.
