Michael –
Thanks, but I have to tell you that this project and how it would relate to our community has changed
significantly, over time.
Let me say, up front, that given the difficulties the City of Coppell has had with these folks and the less than
friendly relations that have existed with them from some of our homeowners, having you now simply refer me
to their contact to work this matter out is a bit disconcerting. In some of our past communications, Clay Phillips
has offered to have members of city staff meet with both parties to coordinate what needs to be done. As a 60
home residential community, we have no expertise in such matters. We wouldn’t know a fair price or a proper
scope of work(acceptable to the city) if it was right in front of us. We have looked for dredging contractors to
simply do our part and have found none that will do this small scope of project.
We do not have the funds to allow for a mistake in how this project is done, nor can we afford to be taken
advantage of because of our inexperience in such matters. We have expressed our willingness/desire to do this
dredging for several years now, but have always understood there would be some guidance from the city when
we did.
Let’s rethink how this project is coordinated so that it can be done correctly without any “go backs.” Please
consider our situation and let us know if there isn’t anything more you can do to assist us here. I have copied
Gary Josephson at Cornerstone, our property management company, so that he can be aware of where we are
on this.

I have spoken with The Mansions representatives, they will begin re-grading their portion of the drainage
channel in early June. They have offered to provide a quote to do the Asbury Manors HOA portion, I have yet
to receive that. I have forwarded your information to them if they would rather give you the quote directly. The
