Re: Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Alignment Revisions
Gentlemen:
Today in a telephone conversation with the City of Coppell, City Engineer, we learned the City of Coppell will
not be able to acquire the necessary easements for the Sandy Lake Road Water Line west of State Road using
the current project alignment. At this stage, we are exploring alternative routes between State Road and the
Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank. The most likely route is south along the west side of State Road
to the north side of Grapevine Creek, then west over to the Wagon Wheel Ranch Tank. This potential route
eliminates the need for easements from private property.
Due to this potential alignment modification, you are hereby directed to cease any and all activity related to the
construction of the Sandy Lake Road Water Line between Station 2+15.30(Beginning) and Station 45+95,
until further notice from the City. Once the alignment revisions are resolved, or the easement are acquired, we
will notify you of the modifications and request that we meet to discuss the impact of the changes on the
contract price, material delivery dates and project completion date. We expect to complete the changes within
the next few weeks.
