Our final plans for the intersection of Sandy Lake Road at MacArthur Boulevard were
submitted to your office on November 1, 1990. These plans had been modified to reflect the
comments we received from the City staff after our initial submittal and subsequent
conversations with you.
Shortly after our submittal to the City, I received a phone call from Mr. Gabe Favre with
Ginn, Inc., inquiring about the status of our plans. He informed me that the City had sent
him a set to review. During our conversation, I told Mr. Favre that the design of these plans
would eventually become part of the overall plans for Sandy Lake Road, and that the City
would probably not do this construction separately. After our discussion, I received a copy
of Mr. Favre's letter dated November 7, 1990, addressing these issues and returning the plans
to the City without comment. Since then, the City has expressed concern that Mr. Favre's
letter may imply that these plans are useless in the future expansion of Sandy Lake Road.
We want to emphasize that the current set of plans was designed for immediate construction
of the intersection, as well as taking into consideration the ultimate long-term construction
of Sandy Lake Road. If you have any questions concerning the current design or how it is
planned to work in the future, please contact me.
