Attached is a compilation of correspondence initiated by a citizen. Please evaluate the request and let me know if it should be
addressed under current statutes or if a new ordinance might be created.
Thanks, Per
When first turning into Raintree Village from MacArthur, the first few homes on Raintree Circle often park their vehicles in
the road. Unfortunately, this blocks one's ability to see if there are any cars coming down the street, or any children
playing in the way. Daily, we have nearly had accidents at the intersection because of a large SUV that sits at the corner
of Raintree Circle and the stop sign. I completely understand the need to park in the street, but wonder if there is any
possibility of having a zone that would not allow parking right at the curb, thus blocking visibility? Or perhaps, on parking
on one side of the street? On one occurrence, there were emergency service vehicles that had difficulty passing through
because of this.
I contacted our HOA but was told to redirect the concerns to the City.
Thanks for considering this concern.

Anonymous User,
I am forwarding your concerns to Sgt. Eric Debus of the traffic unit. Sgt. Debus or a traffic officer will assess if persons
at the location you describe are lawfully parking their vehicle(s). I am requesting that he email you with the result of
their observations at ndbenjamin@yahoo.com .
If you want to suggest a no parking zone I believe Per Birdsall (Street Operations Manager) 972-304-5171 could provide
assistance and advice on how to proceed. I am forwarding a copy of this email to Per.
Thank you for expressing your concerns.

Got any insight for me? City folks don't usually travel this way on evenings or weekends. Thanks, Per

I live on Raintree Circle and it is a problem turning right off Village onto Raintree Circle. Homeowners
park on both sides of the street which only allows one way travel. Only allowing parking on one side
would definitely relieve this safety concern.

FYI - Is it possible to make this street "no parking" on one side?

Thank you for your inquiry. The intersection is Village & Raintree Circle. The vehicles are parked on
Raintree. Often times they are parked in front of the fire hydrant along Raintree as well. They are most
definitely parked closer than 30 feet to the intersection of Village and Raintree, maybe even as close as 5
feet. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there are further questions.
