I met today with Carmen Martinez with St. Joseph's Village. We were asked to investigate significant erosion that is occurring on the
south bank of what I always referred to the Woodridge Channel. The channel runs parallel to Sandy Lake that is on one side and St.
Joseph's is on the other. The erosion is clearly visibly west of their driveway about 150 feet. At first appearance it appeared to me
that the erosion is occurring due to fill placed on the upper part of the bank because of the obvious contour difference from the
concrete rip rap near the driveway/bridge.
The present concern is for the screening wall that may be exhibiting some signs of drifting towards the channel. If you can please
take a look. This is beyond normal maintenance for Public Works and is actually on St. Joseph's property. He is apparently also their
risk Manager and has notified their insurance carrier of a claim. I can meet with you out there if you would like.
