Verizon has made an on site visit to this location and have found that no construction has been performed by any of our
contractors that would have caused this damage to the waterline mentioned below.

SubjectFwd: 440 Wrangler, water leak
Gentlemen,
Please review the attached email and photographs. In reviewing the city permits
issued in and around this area I find that both Atmos and Verizon have been issued
permits in this area in the past 12 months. The property owner has narrowed the
time frame for the water leak, but I have no way of knowing how long this repair
attempt (duct tape and rope) may have held.
Please check with your contractors and see if anyone will admit to having hit
something out here.
Thanks for your help.

Subject:Acct: 20000651, 440 Wrangler, water leak
All,
This letter serves as documentation of a water leak on the domestic water service at our building located at 440
Wrangler, Coppell.
We received our invoice for June consumption on July 15th. Once the extreme discrepancy against our average
monthly bill was noted, we called the Utility Department and was told the meter would be re-read. On Monday
afternoon, July 21st I received a call saying that the paperwork had been received on the re-reading of the meter.
The new information revealed that we had a serious leak on the property and that since the previous read date
(approximately 3 weeks) we had already used 2 million gallons.
The very next day, we had Public Service Plumbers come out and begin the search for the leak. Since there were
no signs of water leaks in the building or parking lot, the search was narrowed down to the lawn area between the
parking lot and Wrangler. The area was pinpointed and exposed. I have attached pictures of what we found,
because quite frankly, I don't think you would believe me otherwise. From what we can tell, a utility contractor that
was boring within the easement, hit the line and repaired it with duct tape and rope.
This damage likely occurred during late June. I did a brief calculation on the total gallons divided by the number of
days of consumption and came up with an approximate date of June 20th.
We would not only request reprieve from the exorbitant water bills for the two previous months, but also with the
cost of repair (copy of invoice attached).
Should you need any additional information or clarification, please contact me by reply e-mail or at my phone
number indicated below.
Thanks.
