RE: Proposal for Intersection Plans for Sandy Lake Road and MacArthur
Boulevard
Dear Ms. Daneshmand:
Per our conversation today regarding the use of $20,000 in DART Local
Assistance Program funds for the above intersection, the following
scope of work is proposed:
1. Preparation of plans and specifications for the ultimate signal
design for the intersection.
2. Formulation of a detailed schematic design for the ultimate sec-
tion of Sandy Lake Road (proposed six-lane divided) and MacArthur
Boulevard (existing four-lane divided) including planned
geometric layout and preliminary profiles.
3. Schematic drainage plans for the ultimate intersection design.
4. Utilization of above ultimate planned schematics to develop a
potential interim design for Sandy Lake Road which would involve
the construction of sheltered left-turn lanes and/or free right
turn lanes.
This proposal represents our best effort to identify a scope of ser-
vices which matches the $20,000 available. In order to provide an
immediate response to your request, we have not taken the time to cost
out each of these items identified above, however, our experience
suggests that these costs are in line.
