1. Staff will be initiating a "No Left Turn" at Hackberry applying to motorists attempting to turn south onto
Beltline Road from Hackberry. We will initially install signs and will follow -up with the installation of a
hooded left turn at that location that will allow a left turn form Beltline onto Hackberry but not from Hackberry
onto Beltline
2. We received a letter from Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in response to our letter regarding our opposition to
collective bargaining. The Senator's letter is attached.
3. An invitation from the Coppell Football Boosters to attend the May 27 tailgate and spring football game is
attached. Event starts at 4:30 and concludes with the varsity scrimmage starting at 7:00.
4. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the COG General Assembly and the TML Legislative Outlook have
been scheduled on the same day, June 18. Both meeting announcements are attached for your review. Since
there is no need to purchase a table for either event, please choose the event you wish to attend and
purchase /register accordingly following the information on the attached. While I hate to miss the COG
luncheon, as it stands now I plan to attend the Legislative Outlook at the Las Colinas Marriott.
5. Please remember to send your Council Committee preferences in as soon as you can so we will be prepared for
the discussion next Tuesday evening.
