RE: Sandy Lake/MacArthur Intersection Signal
Staff and myself have met with Billy Rae Newsom, the owner of the
signals presently located at the intersections of Cowboy & Beltline
and Denton Tap & Beltline, to discuss the options of purchasing those
signals or leasing them at the above referenced location.
A r-ock bottom price quoted by Mr. Newsom for the two controllers
pl~; four detectors, six poles and 18 traffic signal heads with hangers
is S7,000.00. Th~s material would be sufficient to install a box
sp:-,n intersection with turn signal indicators for MacArthur at Sandy
Lake and MacArthur and one additional simple cross or T intersection.
To continue the lease after relocating the signals, Mr. Newsom would
~'cqu~re a minimum gauranteed lease of two years at $300.00 per month.
cost to install the signals at Sandy Lake & MacArthur would be
same in either senario, that cost is $6500.00 without detector
