Re: Belt Line Road - East/West Segment
Coppell, Texas
Dear Mr. Keheley:
We understand that you may have had communication with
Mr. George Schrader regarding proposed Belt Line Road
improvements along the north frontage of the Texas Utilities
Electric Company North Lake power plant property. We have
enclosed an exhibit showing the referenced area.
The City Council of Coppell has authorized Ginn, Inc. to proceed
with preparing construction plans and specifications for Belt
Line Road from Denton Tap eastward to the west overflow of the
Trinity River. This includes the referenced segment. The
schedule for construction for this section of roadway is being
coordinated with Dallas County and is anticipated around the
fourth quarter of 1987 or first quarter of 1988.
We would like to meet with you and discuss whether the City of
Dallas can participate financially or assist the City of Coppell
with assessments for this section of roadway. Another
alternative may be disannexation of the road right-of-way
(approximately 19 acres) from the City of Dallas.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
· Wayne Ginn, P.E.
