Re: Sandy Lake/MacArthur Intersection Signals
Dear Steve:
We received a copy of the executed work authorization form for
the above referenced traffic signal design on 10/19/88. We are
proceeding immediately with the design.
As soon as the Belt Line Road Traffic Signal project is completed
and in operation, the existing equipment shall be ready for
relocation to the Sandy Lake Road/MacArthur intersection. The
contract completion date for this work is November 29, 1988.
Please advise us on the status of your negotiations with Mr.
Billy Ray Newsom regarding purchasing vs. leasing the existing
signal equipment on Belt Line Road as well as the construction
cost to relocate it. Consideration needs to be given as to
whether this project should be (1) publicly bid; (2) determined
an emergency project by City Council and construction pursued as
soon as possible or; (3) allowed to be authorized at the City
Manager level (depending on Mr. Newsom's installation cost).
