On June 29, 1992, Ms. Susan Couts contacted me concerning the
petition she had submitted at the June 23, 1992 City Council
meeting. She had two questions. One, was the stop sign study
being.performed? I indicated to her that I had the stop sign study
traffic count set up to be taken on Tuesday, June 30, 1992, weather
permitting.
Her second issue concerned whether or not the City had already
initiated the study concerning Parkway Blvd. connecting to the
west. I indicated to her that I had yet to receive the petition
and/or any direction on how to proceed on this issue. I indicated
to her that typically, a Thoroughfare Study could take several
months and that it had only been six' days since she had even
submitted a petition. Several times she asked whether she should
be calling the Mayor or the City Manager concerning this issue. I
indicated to her that I was unsure who she should contact at this
point because it had been only six days and as of yet, to my
knowledge, no action had been taken on this issue.
