It offers trouble-free, proven reliability, quality construction and ease of use. Precise attention to design, manufacturing, and QC ensures that Model 392 recorders work right out of the box. The Model 392's design and solid construction makes field upgrades, the addition of features and maintenance quick, easy, and affordable. The Model 392 is available in a NEMA 4X and Class I, Div 2 ratings for tough environments. An available option tum$ one pen into a contact- operated event pen. Easy to set up Individually con~gurable, the recorder can be quickly and easily set up to your exact application using the integral keyboard and display. The menu-driven selections provide plain English prompts on the instrument's alpha-numeric display, using the six front-panel keys. Operator control functions are separate from the password- protected configuration inputs. Advanced features Custom linearization for non- linear inputs, such a pH and conductivity, permits the use of standard linear charts. Micropro- cessor power provides for automatic computation, readout and recording of derived variables such as BTU, mass flow, relative humidity and user-entered customized calculations. Informative display Channel information is displayed with measured value, channel number, engineering units, tag name and alarm information. Tag names can be up to sixteen characters. Built-in controllers The Model 392 offers two available 3-mode PID controllets with features such as cascade or ratio/bias, feedforward and intemal setpoint generatots. Dedicated auto/manual and remote/local setpoint keypads allow the operator to switch easily between control functions. The controllers provide simulta- neous setpoint, process variable, and output indication. Built-in integrators The Model 392's integrators provide up to 4 channels of totalization to 9 digits for flow and power applications. Totalization factors, low cutoff point, and reset on/offate entered via the keypad. An optional remote counter output can be used to drive electrome- chanical counters. Alarms Up to four alarms per input can be configured to provide deviation alarming to "bracket" a setpoint, rate-of-change alarming to "predict" potential problems, as well as absolute high or low alarming. Communications An optional RS-422 serial channel provides communications with computer and data acquisition systems.
