& Bethel School/Denton Tap Road Intersections
Dear Mr. Powell:
As you are probably aware, the Coppell City Council on Tuesday,
November 25, 1986, approved the installation of traffic signals
at the above referenced intersections and wanted the project
publicly bid in early January 1987. We understand funding for
this project will be from the 1984 Bond Program.
We are currently proceeding with the contract documents and
specifications and construction plans. Our tentative schedule
is as follows:
Contract & Construction Plans completed by December 15, 1986.
Advertise project from approximately December 15, 1986 to
January 5, 1987.
Open bids on January 6, 1987.
Present to Council for contract award on January 13, 1987.
Issue Notice to Proceed on January 26, 1987 (approximately).
Construction time 21 calendar days
Contract completion date February 15, 1987 (approximately).
In addition to the above mentioned items of work, we are also
proceeding with a traffic signal warrant study at each
intersection which is necessary for the City's tort liability.
We expect the studies to be completed by December 8, 1986, and
shall make them available to you as soon as possible thereafter.
