Dear Wayne
This is to confirm our conversation of December 1, 1986,
concerning the Streetscape requirements for the major entry point
to the City on Belt Line and the secondary entry point to the City
on Freeport.
As I mentioned in our conversation, in reviewing the construction
plans for Belt Line North-South, I found no plans showing the
required treatment of the Belt Line Road South entry point. As
you mentioned, the engineering for the entry point will be done in
approximately one year. I would like to stress that it is
imperative that this major entry point must be constructed as
shown in Figure 9 of the Streetscape.
In reference to the Freeport entry point to the City and according
to my interpretation of the Streetscape Plan, this is a secondary
entry point to the City and should have the improvements as shown
in Figure 11 of the St re etscape Plan. I understand that there is
some type of problem or problems with the job and I will be
anxious to review your findings after you have done your checking
into the problem or problems.
Wayne, I may sound like a broken record, but it is vital to the
image of the City that all of our entry points make a statement to
the public as to the quality of life in the City of Coppell.
As I mentioned in our conversation, if there is anything I can do
to help you and your firm to see that these improvements are
completed please let me know.
