ST8805-CS 891121dp Jerry Parcl Consulting Engineers November 21, 1989 Mr. Alan Blankenship L. H. Lacy Company P O Box 541297 Dallas, Texas 753§4-1297 214/357-0146 RE: JP No. 88023; Parkway Boulevard and High School Access Road; Coppell, Texas Dear Mr. Blankenship: Thank you for your letter of November 15, 1989, stating that L. H. Lacy will proceed with seeding the project areas using a mixture of Type II and Type III seed. For the information of the Coppell Independent School District, these types of seed are to be planted between September and February. Type II is Rye Grass and Type III is Bermuda Grass. The Rye Grass should grow in the winter and provide erosion protection and ground cover. This grass will die with warmer weather. The bermuda grass should then germinate. Your contract with C.I.S.D. requires a solid growth of bermuda grass in the areas seeded. I appreciate Lacy's efforts to establish a grass growth in the seeded areas for the winter months since a growth of bermuda grass was anticipated prior to the end of this past summer. Any further payments under this contract prior to obtaining a solid growth of bermuda grass in the seeded areas, however, are not in accordance with the contract, and must be discussed with the owner. Once the bermuda grass cover is established, full payment, including all retainage, will be recommended. If you have any questions, please call. Sincere~ / er~r~arche', P.E.
