CIP Project / Added funding needed to complete the
construction of the north half or westbound lanes for
Parkway Blvd., east of Town Center.
During the September 26, 1989, City Council meeting under Item 17,
"Status Reports on Various City Projects", staff reported on item
g) Parkway Blvd. and during those discussions, N~yor Wolfe (perhaps
other Councilmen) indicated that this section of Parkway Blvd. was
important and should be completed.
Therefore, we would interpret that that project is a priority to
the City Council and if you would identify additional funding in
the amount of $25,000 over the $128,700, earmarked for this
project, then we would prepare an agenda request item for the City
Council meeting on December 12, 1989. It appears that ABQ, the
other land owner along this portion of Parkway Blvd. is not
receptive to cost sharing for these improvements at this time.
Therefore, they would pay a pro rata when they develop the property
