Dear Mr. Griffin:
We are in receipt of the traffic control and barricade prepared by Dallas Lite and Barricade, Inc. for the
construction of the Sandy Lake Road Water Line Project. The plan was submitted directly to your office to the
attention of Larry Davis. Mr. Davis forwarded the plan to us for our review and comment.
The traffic control and barricade plan has been prepared in general conformance with the requirements of the
contract documents. However, the City should be aware that proper installation and maintenance of the
barricades is essential to the success of the project. In addition, critical areas of this plan call for the use of
flagmen at both ends of the work area. Given the high traffic volume along the corridor, we recommend the
City exercise due diligence in making sure the contractor follows the published traffic control plan and make
any corrections or adjustments required by the working and traffic conditions.
