Keith,
Per my discussion on site with Larry Davis, it was determined that existing handicap ramps at
Knights Way approach to Bethel Rd will need to be removed and a double handicap ramp will be
necessary on the east side of this approach and a single handicap ramp will need to be installed on the
west side of the road. Additional concrete will also need to be removed and installed so that this tie-
in to Bethel Rd will work. The existing stamped concrete in this approach area is to remain.
I would like for you to inform me to proceed with these changes for additional overaages on this line
item.

Per my discussion on site with Larry Davis, the north and south sides of the east bridge slope will not
in regards to them tying into existing grades, will not work.
On the north side, due to the existing rock screeing wall and slopes, the additional 15’ concrete rip
rap will not work and cannot be installed per plan revisions, GR-1.
On the south side, due to existing concrete boulders, debris, and slope this tie in will also not work..

In my discussion with Johnny Heine, Mels Electric, he would like to request the following
information:
1 – Need address for the new service location being serviced from the west side of the bridge on
Bethel Rd, from the telephone pole in front of Phil’s house. Oncor is requesting 2” conduit be ran
for this service.
2 – Need to know if instead of installing the 3” conduit which plans call to be attached to the side of
the bridge, changed to being installed inside the bridge slab so it can service the lights on the bridge.

Keith,
In my discussion with Larry Davis on site regarding the west side of the bridge paving subgrade
areas, I have been informed that there are sulfates in this area. It was suggested to me that an
additonal inch of concrete may be required in lieu of lime stabilization. Please let me know what
needs to be done in this area so that I can continue to work on getting this area paved for traffic and
the opening of the bridge.
