Below is our comments on the submittal package from JRJ Paving at the Traffic Control meeting/discussion. This is all we
have received to date.
1.JM Eagle AWWA C905 DR-18 PVC Water Pipe (16”) – Approved
2.JM Eagle AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC Water Pipe (6”-8”) – Approved
3.Star Pipe Company Ductile Iron Fittings C153 Import – Not approved
a.Fittings are called out as compact fittings and import. Does not meeting Coppell’s list of approved
materials which call out full size and domestic.
4.Star Pipe Company 664S Valve Box - Approved
5.Mueller Company RW Gate Valves – Not approved
a.Submittals calls out RW. Coppell and NCTCOG (502.6.2) require RS (resilient seat).
6.Mueller Company NST Fire Hydrant – Approved
7.EBAA Iron Company Series 2000 PV Megalugs – Not approved
a.Verify iron type. Submittal shows 65-45-12. NCTCOG calls for 60-42-10.
8.Smith Blair 665 Stainless Steel Tapping Sleeve – Approved
9.Cerro Inc. Type K soft copper (2”) – Approved pending City approval
a.City only allows flared connections. Bullhead type services will only be used with approval from City
Engineer.
10.APCO 2” 145C.2 Combination Air Release Valve – Approved
11.JM Eagle AWWA SDR35 PVC Pipe (12”) – Approved pending City approval
a.City’s list of approved materials states SDR 35 to 15’ bury depth, plans calls out 15.93’ per topo.
12.Plastic Tends SDR 35 PVC Gasketed Sewer Fittings – Approved pending City approval
a.Verify SDR 35 acceptable per #12.
13.Bass and Hays Foundry 400# Manhole Ring and Cover – Approved
14.The Turner Company 60” Diameter Pre-Cast Manhole – Approved
