For clarity purposes, we have a large cut at the Chateaus driveway on the south portion of Bethel just west of Denton Tap. The sidewalk and driveway appear to have been constructed too high in this area, thus causing grading concerns in this area. I've reviewed the Chateaus as- builts and they are inconsistent with the elevations we are getting out there. In order to make grades safe and workable for the crosswalk and driveway, I'm exploring three options: 1. Raising the roadway elevation through this area. (See attached in Green) - I've already reviewed this and it is feasible. But, it will require dirt to be brought back to this area and delay JRJ from liming tomorrow as they have indicated. 2. Rebuilding the existing sidewalk and adding a sidewalk retaining wall. (See attached in Purple) - Includes replacing existing sidewalk, sidewalk retaining wall and probably conflicts with franchise and HOA utilities. 3. Decreasing storage length for through /right turn movement, EB Bethel to SB Denton Tap (See attached in Blue) - Curb limits will change, but will decrease delay to JRJ Paving. I don't feel Option 2 is feasible due to costs and likely more conflicts. I will review Option 1 and 3 in more detail and determine which is more feasible.
