• The vert bar shown at 5" C -C is in case the screening wall is being added. If we only put a traffic rail on
the wall, these can be removed.
• Structures is verifying the need for select backfill. I will have a response to you in the morning.
• Natural ground is acceptable for the 1ft space beyond the concrete placement
• 0", flush, is acceptable

I had questions on your wall modification detail that have not been answered:
There is a vert bar shown at 5" ctrs that should be 15 "? See the upper Left Detail
There is select backfill shown with no pay item?
There is a 1 Ft space beyond the concrete placement that shows select fill? I would propose the concrete to be placed
against natural ground maybe (12" min) maybe 15 - 16" from the exist footing.
RW2 shows a keyway with a 2x4 placed at the top of the wall footing? It says 0 -2" in Ht. We will place the 2x4 at 0 ", flush
with the top of the footing. RW2
We have the reinforcing on site and will begin the modifications Monday September 13
Please clarify so we have no questions on the site

LIVIC has no knowledge or authority regarding where this mixture is to be placed, therefore it is the direct responsibility of the Purchaser, the design
architect or design engineer, and or contractor to insure that the above designed mixture parameters for compressive strength, mixture proportions or
ratios, and other required performance parameters are appropriate for the anticipated environmental, durability, or usage conditions in ACI 318 Chapter
4 and /or the relevant local building codes.
LIVIC warrants the supplied ready -mix concrete mixture designs which LMC guarantees will achieve the specified compressive strength, or other
performance properties of the concrete stated in the Contract Documents, as were made available at the time of quotation, when tested and evaluated
in accordance with ASTM C172 -99, ASTM C31fC31M -03a (including proper initial curing as per Section 10.1.2), ASTM C39fC39M -01, ASTM
C94iC94M -07, or other standard test methods indicated in the Contract Documents that were necessary to verify the additional performance properties
of the concrete, and when the recommended procedures for placement and curing of the in -place concrete, or those specifically outlined in ACI
30SR -99 and ACI 306R -88 are followed, if and when necessary. Additional information can be found in the Limited Warranty for Ready Mix Concrete.
In accordance with ASTM C94IC94M -07 Section 4.6, Lattimore Materials Company shall receive all copies of testing reports, and they should be
forwarded to our Quality Control Department (fax 972 -221 -9647) as soon as available. Failure to forward reports in a fimely fashion can delay response
time in dealing with concrete concerns as well as future project submittals.
This mix design submittal, price quote, or material specific information (aggregate properties, grading, material composition, or other information
regarding materials manufactured by Lattimore Materials Company) is proprietary and confidential and not to be shared or transmitted in any form to
any person or organization that is not expressly authorized in writing by a designated official of Lattimore Materials Company. Any unauthorized person
or entity in possession of this information will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Got it this morning. Typing a response now
On the select fill, the Geotech report says any wall height less than 5' we can use native (natural) material
We have a small portion over that.
Most of the material actually meets the geotech reports criteria for "select fill ". Peter is running the
numbers to see if we can avoid a new bid item for select fill. Should have something first thing in the
morning.

Just saw this email sent to Caleb from Steve, N TX Bridge. Can I get
you to push to get these items answered by tomorrow so that we do not
have any further hiccups. If select fill is required, we will have to
have an additional pay item. I think they were wanting the same natural
material we were using before, but that is not what detail shows.
