Keith,
I’ve attached a site visit report from our visit yesterday. There appears to be one discrepancy in the steel
placement and layout. We’ve highlighted this discrepancy on the last page of the site visit report. These bars
will need to be untied and retied to match ReedCon’s detail.
If you have any questions or need additional information, let me know.

SITE VISIT
MEMORANDUM
OWNER: City of Coppell PROJECT NO.: CPL03243
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Bethel Rd Bridge DATE: 10/25/2010
CONTRACTOR: North Texas Bridge Co., Inc. ARRIVAL TIME: 11:00 am
RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE: N/A DEPARTURE TIME: 12:00 pm
PERSON VISITING THIS SITE: Joel Darr
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES OBSERVED:
Placement of rebar in retaining wall repair
PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN: YES NO ATTACHED FILED
DISCUSSION WITH CONTRACTOR OR RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE:
The crew chief (Gilbert) led me to the area under consideration (south side of Bethel Rd.) where rebar
placement had started. Several modifications to the original reinforcement design were observed; all
changes were conservative except for one. The one unconservative change was to the wall’s flexural
steel which is a crucial element. See last page for field measurements.
FOLLOW UP ACTION REQUIRED:
FNI to revisit for progress in the month of November.
