CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES OBSERVED:
Road closed at Bridge.
Bridge:
Deck is poured.
Contractor is beginning to set rebar and pour sections of bridge railing
Road:
Half of roadway not completed from approx. STA 39+00 to 42+00 on South side of road. Area
being graded. All remaining roadway appears to be complete.

DISCUSSION WITH CONTRACTOR OR CITY INPSECTOR:
Bridge/ Rip Rap placement on North/East side of Bridge
FNI reviewed the rip rap placement in this area. Tony Diaz (FNI) and Chuck Easton (FNI) are
going to sketch up a plan to stabilize this area to prevent erosion and stabilize existing screening
wall.
FNI noticed some erosion under the rip rap at the top of the slope. Tony and Chuck expressed
concern about pockets behind the rip rap. Larry Davis (Coppell) said he is discussing with the
contractor to fill this area with flowable fill to ensure the stability of the rip rap.
Guardrail Placement
Larry Davis said he had concerns with the guardrail shown on the plans at the end of the of the
bridge rail on the south/east side of the bridge.
Grading Behind South Retaining Wall
Caleb Thornhill and Larry Davis discussed the grading between the retaining wall and the
screening wall. Contractor has expressed concern about existing vegetation and access to this
area. Larry said he would get with contractor to discuss.
FOLLOW UP ACTION REQUIRED:
FNI will draft plan to stabilize bank and existing screening wall on NE side of Bridge. We will
submit to the city for discussion purposes.
