We have checked the sidewalk quantity in the computer on Dobecka and
came up with an actual quantity of 445 sy. This is well below the bid
quantity of 1,220 sy.
Item 104.2.1 in the NCTCOG specs states that the contractor may have the
ability to renegotiate their bid price on this item as long as it
doesn't increase the total contract amount by more than 25%. However,
due to the large quantity difference, a negotiated rate would still be a
decrease in the project budget should you go that route.
I apologize for this error in the bid documents. Please let me know if
you need anything else on this item.
